final project

     For the final project, I am going to practice a piece of the musical dance of "someone in the crowd" from '"la la land" with Medgar playing for the music with piano. We decided to do this because the music attracts us a lot, also, we would like to improve ourselves as well as trying new things.

       This project is very challenging to me. First of all, I have not participated in a musical dance before, as I just join the winter musical in school, it really can help me get familiar with how to do the best in the musical dancing. Also, it is tough that I was learning jazz dance before which differs from musical dancing a lot, so it will be a good chance for me to practice some basics of musical dancing.

      In order to showcase my ability, I decided to use what I have learned which is jazz dance, to do a little choreography and mix it with the musical version of the dance. From my perspective, it will be intriguing to learn new skills while improving what I had. 

     What’s more, we would like to film it instead of doing a live performance because we are thinking to add some simple plots to our performance which we can achieve by the using different settings and edit it which can also challenge ourselves as a director.
